Wisdom Tooth Extraction Springfield
Taking Out Unnecessary, Unhealthy Teeth

When an adolescent or young adult is between the ages of 16 and 25, the third set of molars – wisdom teeth – are likely to erupt. If you have a teenager or adult child within this age range, they may complain of discomfort in the back of their mouth. These teeth, once essential for early civilizations to maintain their diet, no longer serve a purpose but instead cause pain, misalignment, and often, poor oral health. Instead of allowing these issues to continue, we can easily remove these molars with wisdom tooth extraction. Dr. Alkamary understands you probably have many questions about the procedure, so do not hesitate call our office to schedule an appointment.

The Wisdom Tooth Extraction Process
Glamorous Smile Dental Spa is equipped with the most advanced, state-of-the-art technologies so that Dr. Alkamary can perform wisdom tooth extraction with ease. Whether it is you or your teenager who requires this procedure, she will start by making sure you are comfortable, using local anesthesia, patient-friendly amenities, and sedation if requested.
Once she determines the state of each molar, she will either remove it with a simpler process that involves elevating the tooth and using pliers to move it back and forth until it detaches, or she will opt for a surgical approach.
If the tooth cannot be seen above the gumline, it will require opening the gums and exposing the tooth and bone. To avoid causing additional damage to the bone, she will likely divide the tooth into sections for easier, less stressful removal.
